Project Director- David Greenfield, dgreenfield@jewishculturalmosaic.org David Greenfield has over 13 years David has been developing New Media for a wide range of applications including CBT (created computer-based training) systems, museum kiosks, and web sites. Most recently he developed and was web master for nearly 5 years for the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, California.
David's interest in world Jewish communities began in Hebrew school in Southern California. He came across a photograph of the Chinese Jews of Kaifung. This image generated a deep interest, curiosity and respect for the rich and varied Jewish cultures and traditions in the world. Since then he has lived in Israel, served in the I.D.F. (with fellow Jews from the four corners of the globe), studied fine art and received a B.A. in Jewish History.
One of the greatest compliments he has received was from the mayor of Ma'alot in Israel. After being invited onstage to join a group of Kurdish dancers at a folk festival, he was told that he has "Kurdish feet".
